Who is responsible

The mobile app: what is processed?

PointSim runs entirely offline. You do not need an account, an email address or a phone number to use it.

Everything you create in the app — contestant names, scores, round records, settings — is stored in your device’s local storage only. It is not sent to us or anyone else, it is not held on a server, and we cannot see it.

Removing the app from your device deletes those records. Deleting a contest from inside the app also removes it permanently.

• No location data is processed.
• No access to contacts, photos or files.
• No device identifiers are collected by the app itself.
• No user account or profile is created.

Ads inside the app

The app may show advertising through Google AdMob. Where it does, Google processes data such as your device’s advertising identifier in order to select and measure those ads, under its own privacy policy.

On iOS you can decline personalised ad tracking on the system permission prompt, and you can turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in your device settings. Either choice stops ads from being personalised.

The website: cookies and analytics

This website uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how visitors use it. Analytics is started only if you give explicit consent: unless you press accept on the cookie notice shown on your first visit, no analytics script is loaded and no measurement cookie is written.

If you do consent, what is processed is usage statistics: pages visited, session length, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser information. It is not used to identify individual users.

Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. To withdraw consent, clear the site data in your browser; the notice appears again on your next visit.

• Strictly necessary storage: language preference and the cookie choice itself. Not subject to consent.
• Analytics cookies: written by Firebase Analytics, only after you consent.
• This site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels.

Transfers

Content you create in the app is never transferred, because it never leaves your device.

Website analytics runs on infrastructure operated by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, which may involve transfers outside the European Union. Those transfers rely on Google’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention

App data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app; we set no time limit on it.

Website analytics records follow Google Analytics’ default retention period. If you email us, the correspondence is deleted within a reasonable period after the matter is closed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK (Law no. 6698) you have the right to be informed about the data processed about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, and to data portability.

On the app side those rights are effectively already in your hands: because the data sits on your device, you can delete or edit it without asking us. For website analytics, send your request to thefovibe@gmail.com.

Children’s privacy

PointSim is rated for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. The app asks for no account, name or contact details in the first place.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is updated, the “last updated” date on this page changes with it. Significant changes are also announced in the app or on the site.
